Mausingfield firing pin spring lube

Hi Folks,

I've had a couple of light strikes recently with my Mausingfield. Anyone else had this?

I thought I would ask a couple of questions:

1) What do people use to lubricate the bolt on their Mausingfields?
2) Firing pin doesn't appear to protude much. Is it possible to set the pin to protrude more?

Thanks in advance,

Scrummy

I believe the Mausingfield has the same firing pin setup as the Nucleus and firing pin protrusion can be adjusted by pushing down the lock and turning the castellated nut.
But I would check protrusion first.

Crazy, my Nucleus had zero issues until around 305 rounds. After that it just stopped igniting
CCI450 primers. Replaced the firing pin spring with the next heavier spring and 1200 rounds
later with no issues.

My Nucleus began to act up with the 16lb spring in the fall. Cleaned all lube out of the striker assembly and cocking piece and didn’t have another issue all winter.
