Which annealer?

well I’ve never owned an annealer but my shooting buddy does and he’s always just annealed my brass for me and I trimmed his brass for him. Unfortunately we have moved slightly further apart and we have both becoming overwhelming busy and it’s time to buy my own. I don’t mind spending the money on the amp if it’s absolutely the way to go, I’ll just save up for it, or should I get like an annealez or something along that line.

Have you bought yourself a set of A&D scales? It is much the same as any measuring equipment. There are tolls that will do the job for some purposes then there are the laboratory grade tools that are used when absolute precision and consistency are wanted.

+1 for AMP Annealer with Aztec. Had mine for a couple of years now. Accurate annealing produces much more consistent sizing of cases.
I bought the AMP because I did not want to mess with fuel bottles. I also like that it eliminates guess work in annealing.

Call me crazy. Currently I am using a Mike's Reloading Bench annealer. And if you are flame annealing, it all depends on controlling the temperature you want the brass to achieve. Some think 750 is enough, others say that is just stress relieving, and if you want to anneal, it must hit the low 1000's. I've done both and really don't see any difference.

I have considered getting an AMP. I know it would do better and I would probably anneal every firing instead of every 3-5 (depends on the amount I work the case neck each firing cycle). But I hate to lose the single case I must sacrifice to run Aztec. Told you I was crazy.

The amp was a hard nut to swollow. But I Anneal every time I reload. Quick, easy and consistent. May not bother some, but it’s also nice not using propane and flames in the house.
The exact reason I went from bench source to AMP, I was fire department for 35 years and it is just not smart to have open flame in your home regardless of what some will say here, it only takes ONE mistake plus all the benefits with the AMP

You can reference the thousands of standard settings on the AMP website and use standard mode instead.
Appreciate the input. I knew they had a listing you could use. I just looked through it, very extensive.

Ok, where is the best place to buy an AMP with the latest version?

Interesting that no one suggested the Gina/Eric DIY induction option.
I have one of those and I think it is as every bit as good as the AMP. A friend has one and I used before I built myself the Gina/Eric type. DYI is not for everyone however there are quite a few different skills to put one together. I actually know my unit is simpler and faster than the AMP due to its case handling design.

I believe Creedmoor Sports just got a shipment in a week or so ago. There are not that many places that cary them and they have been going fast so if your serious you better get on it.
