AMP Annealer

Just a quick review of the AMP annealer - real short -

absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!! Box is compact not taking up much space..

Ordered on Monday from New Zealand..arrived Thursday(4 days) in Arkansas... plug in, select program, start annealing..no more guessing, setting flames and torch heads...instead my brass is annealed the same way everytime! This product is worth the prices many times over IMO...

I annealed 100 pieces of 284 Norma brass last night...took me 11 mins..

Great Product!!

It's the next best thing to come around in years.
I personally do not see a need for a auto feed unless you like to walk away from it to do something else.
Click on a link and it will show you how it woks..

I`m familiar with the annealer, i was referring to a vid of the auto feed, i haven`t seen one yet........probably missed it somewhere....

I also saw the announcement for automation of the AMP annealer. It included several solid model renderings and, IIRC, a price point of about $200 US. It appears that a hopper would be required that was not included in the price, but I could be wrong on that. It mentioned that the prototype would utilize a Dillon type hopper.

Just received my AMP annealer Thursday too. It seems to work great. I annealed a hundred 6.5 x 47 brass and it didn't take long at all. Graf's is going to be a US distributor too so you won't have to order your extra pilots from New Zealand any longer.

Got mine last week as well. Dont regret it one bit. No torch, no gas, no setup time and once I had a process down it went surprisingly fast.

Don't have an AMP myself (yet), but had a friend AMP anneal some cases that had 6-firings on for me. Then when attending and using them at a 1000-BR, shot a career 2nd best group and a career 3rd best score (2.674" 50-1X) that won me some "cash and prize" !.!.!

I don't have an AMP, and that's too rich for my country blood (and two little ones needing college funds), but I'm fully onboard with induction annealing. I did go the DIY route, though and built myself one. Very consistent results. Easy to see the third from the left isn't annealed yet. The AMP should do even better.

Not necessarily...if your induction heater is annealing the brass to a proper degree of hardness (softness if you prefer) and is consistent/even, then that is as as good as it gets. Any improvment is just a matter of convenience of use/automation and such. So your home made annealer is likely as good as the AMP and you saved a bunch of do...kudos to you. (and I do own/use an AMP)

Yep! in the reloading game there a lot of ways to get from here to there. As long as it works for you that is what matters. I built my own annealer and it cost me under $50 including the torch. It works, is consistent and I like it because I can load the hopper and go do some reloading while it does its thing. I do wish I had a bigger hopper but it can handle 200 cases at a time. It just doesn't give me quite enough time to get 50 cases loaded.
