Am i the only one in this situation?

Looking through my reloading components stash, I have alot of stuff, enough for years, maybe my life and i am in my 30s, depending how much i shoot in the future. But i am constantly buying a few hundred of this bullet or a few pounds of this new super awesome powder to try and many times dont follow through with testing it amd never really “settle” on a load to stockpile a large quantity of components.
I feel like i have reloaders A.D.D. Is anyone else here affected by this horrible disease? Is there a support group?

I'm trying to get to the point where I don't trade off a rifle three months after taking possession of it, when three months prior I though I just had to have it.

It hasn't gotten any better for me after another 30 years. Besides - a gun support group would be like a bunch of people trying trying to quit smoking - all just talking about their favorite cigarette.

Any of us who have been around a few years, or even newcomers who have the financial resources to do it have. I would guess that there is no cure for this.
The upside, is that now when things are tough for so many out there in finding components that we are able to pass along those 1# containers of powder, the 100 count boxes of bullets, and other accumulated items of no value to ourselves to those in need. Hopefully, many are doing this without a profit motive and more so to clear the cobwebs from the closets.

I like to try different load combos out of curiosity, and sometimes it works, sometimes not. But that powder or bullet is probably useful for another firearm in house, and it starts all over again. LOL. Kinda like a dog chasing it's tail so to speak.

What's this horrible disease you speak of? I kind of enjoy my affliction. I'm teaching the daughter & grand daughter to enjoy it as well. It seems to be taking hold on them too. This is the 3rd month in a row that I haven't run up a few $$ on the credit card at the rollover of the monthly cycle. There's not enough of anything to buy in one place to make the shipping worthwhile. Still using primers that have $11.50/1000 stickers on the box, but getting low on a few powders. Hunting is part of the fun except when nothing turns up anywhere for months.

I always had intrest in fast and flat stuff until i found a 308 that shoots great that was a deal I couldn’t pass up, now the 308 is really a favorite.

That's a good one. My gunsmith refused to build me a 22 Hornet falling block. Told me it was time I had something I didn't have to load for. I bought a 10-22 Magnum.

When i started reloading i had a vision of throughly tuning a load to perfection then loading boxes and boxes of it to have plenty on hand incase some idiot gets elected. I end up with 400 of a half dozen bullets in 3 different weights and this powder that os super accurate and that powder that is supposed to be 100 fps faster and i end up finding something that is good enough for hunting season, then after hunting season I am working on a different rifle. I feel like a lab that is trying to fit two tennis balls in his mouth and cant haha

What group do we join? I find myself looking at what I have and thinking will I ever shoot that rifle and then find things to buy for it. I am now thinking get enough to last for my 2 sons who like shooting and hunting. Am I a hoarder? Maybe but I want to be sure I and them will be able to do what we like for years to come.

My wife still has more shoes than I have firearms....

I'm in my 40's and just let me tell you, it gets worse. Doesnt mean its a problem, just worse then what you have now. Just be glad that you are in the spot you are. Many are not!!!

Cheek, you need to step your game up!!! If your wife has more shoes then you have guns, NOW THATS A PROBLEM!!!! Start with pairs, not shoe for gun. I prefer shoe for gun, but I dont think you are there yet. LOL
