Shotgun inertia or gas?

My k-80's get cleaned once a year whether they need it or not! If I cleaned them every time I shot them I'd be doing it almost daily. They get wiped down and new grease where needed every time I'm done for the day.

You stole my line! Except I shot Perazzis. Got my TM-1 in 74. SN 4317. I wore out 3 locking blocks and only once did it fail me on the line with a broken firing pin at the Mile High in Denver.

I took advice from a rifle shooter . He told me that cleaning rods ruin more barrels than anything else.

Come over to the dark side and get an O/U! Better handling, lighter, and if you can't hit with two shots then go home lol.

I have several o/u ,really lots of fun but when I go after Chuckars I go for revenge,like autos with lots of fire power. I can't hit nothing and I'm not staying home .......lol

I got too old and fat to haul around a heavy gun, so now it's a lightweight 20ga O/U for bird hunting. Most surprising is how easy recoiling the 3in mags are, and the pheasants drop dead.

With the price of gas on the rise, you should consider inertia.
I missed 4/1 only by an hour or so.

I prefer gas over inertia. My reason is specific to my experiences with my Benelli SBE 2. It’s a great shotgun but will not reliably cycle light loads as recommended by Benelli. My Benelli M4 cycles these same loads without issue. I also have a VR60 and Weatherby SA 459 which cycle light loads without issue

Could not agree more. I have the same shotgun. I have used gas for many years, dating back th Brownings, later several 1100's. They also seem to have less recoil. My SBE2 with a 31/2 inch turkey load is unbearable. I get a headache every time I shoot those loads, and I am not recoil sensitive.
