Lucky, our newest from the Kerrville, TX animal shelter, age 1.5.
Ivy, 10 lbs of personality, will be 17 this July, and her hind legs aren't working so good now.
Tanner, my blonde boy, gone as of Dec 2017 (age 15y 9 mos), but never forgotten.
Martha-Pearl (chocolate Lab) and Dexter (Catalunya Shepherd), age 5 now.
Stanley, extra long for a mini, and Ivy's best guy. Lost him to liver failure on Jan 2, 2020. Age 14y 9 mos.
There have been others, and will be others, and losing them is a heartbreaker. But it's the best deal you will ever make. The 4 currently in the household are sleeping on the couch as I type this, and when they snore it's music to my ears. Can't say the same about people. Damned annoying when they do it!

Having a dog makes you a better person. People who don't like dogs, IMO, have a (serious) character flaw, and cannot be trusted. Ditto people who say -- bringing this back to our Forum -- "I don't like guns".

That's awesome. Still waiting to hear from someone here in Michigan on hawking/ falconry. None of the clubs are returning my calls. DNR responded.

Skeel my last and current lab wanted nothing to do with water either. My last one would retrieve anything I threw until she couldn't anymore, my current one will sometimes, most times she'll retrieve a tennis ball maybe 10mins then just stands, looks at the ball. Ah well, she's a good companion anyway. Here she is this morning after having our granddaughters overnight Fri and to about noon yesterday, she wouldn't move so wife could make the bed.

What breed is Molly? She reminds me of a Rat Terrier and Manchester Terrier that I once had. He was probably my best dog ever.
