Always had beagle since I’ve been a kid but none of them were lucky enough to live in the house with me. He was looking for a new home and was already house trained, how could I say no to that face?

I got a soft spot for Beagles. My last several dogs have been Beagles DESPITE their damn inclination to find the only dead carcass within miles and roll in it for several minutes. It takes a lot of baths to maintain their house-worthyness status. I got lucky- my current one only barks when she is on a wascally wabbit- truly a rare trait.

Blue eyed beast is Gus, the two sitting side by side in the living room are molly and Eliza. We currently have the Mom (Eliza), Daughter (molly), Grandson / nephew to Eliza and molly (Gus). We had a beagle, Remmy, but she passed away in June 2020 from old age. Still wrecks me when I pull up pics of her. Eliza is 13 so...yeah, not looking forward to that.
I’ve been there many times I know exactly what you’re saying just know that they’re doing better not feeling any pain and reflect back of the many good memories you had together that will help you through

Here’s my two. I picked up Ellie the big one as a stray back in 2016. It took a lot of work and training, but she turned out to be a really good dog except for being hyper protective of us and our home. We adopted Bandit the little one from a friend and neighbor that passed away back in 2018. 74EBC1ED-4495-46A4-8C60-EF5A1067E557.jpeg
