I have a Unertl scope and I am having trouble getting the graduated rind to the 100 yard mark and the 200yard mark. I have loosen the locking ring . Please advise. nilebartram

Unscrew the lock ring all the way off and be careful the objective lens stays in. Unscrew the objective bell all the way out until you can see the bulk of the threads. Carefully clean the threads with Kroil or such and lightly oil and screw back and forth. This should with some patience allow you to adjust your scope

Cardman, is correct. You probably have a combination of dried grease and dirt. I like using zippo lighter fluid. The thing happens alot with adjusting knobs too, grease get's so stiff you cant turn the knobs and you scope wont repeat. Slide the mount off disassemble, soak in lighter fluid scrub, grease re assemble and your good to go for another 50 years! I love these vintage scopes.

Be careful, I once cleaned a Unertl scope with WD 40 and it got inside and coated the lens.
