Makes a person wonder why it wasn't more popular with as well as they shot.

Two reasons. They won't hang with a good 6mm at 200 yards. Secondly the brass neck thickness is not as stable because .100 of the neck was formally in the shoulder. The grouping potential was equal to the 6mm's, but they were more challenging to keep shooting.

Probably the difficulty in making the case would be the main reason. It requires a shortened 22-250 die to push back the shoulder, then trim and turn the necks. If one is making them for, say UBR, then you would make enough for an entire match as most go preloaded. For group shooting, it would be more of a hassle as many shoot the same small batch and then throw them away after the match. Personally, I have found the 22's to be competitive with the PPC at 200 yards.

The best group I've ever shot or seen shoot was with a waldog. It was for sale and i wanted it bad but I thought the guy wanted too much for it. He sold while I biding my time hoping for a better price. A lady bought it in the neighborhood and only shoots it when her son is in town to put him in his place, she does that easily.

I shot a 22ppc one year. The bullet holes were too hard to find in the mirage that landed on the rings at 200 yards.

Another. First one was shot fireforming. And using Berger varmint bullets. This one was with match grade bullets. I'm in NO way competitive or religious shooter. Recreational shooter with the right equipment and great conditions at the time. And some luck obviously! But they will shoot. Even make me look good. That's hard to do!! Ask my wife.

Looks like I have a 22 Short Dog die now. I was have trouble resizing some 22BR brass now that I have shot up all the ammo that I received when I bought the rifle. I thought maybe it had a oversize chamber that's why I was fighting it and when I finally got it full length resized it had a really short body and a really long neck. Go figure and I bought the dies off of here but don't remember from who.

No, never found a reamer or dies. Have some reloads I am going to sell for componants though.

I checked with Dan Dowling, (Accuracy Gunsmithing) he still has reamers. I might give it a go, several of the locals shoot them at 100 and 200 with good success.

Redding made 22 Waldog FL dies at one time.

I have several barrels for the .100 .22 PPC short. A pair of Harts in 1:14” and 1:15” twists on a HV rifle with a Stiller aluminum action. Seams to like X-Terminator and RL-7 with 52 gr bullets. I have LV rifle on a Hall action chambered for it too and it likes LT-32, N133, and H322. If you make the plunger system shown in Benchrest Shooting Primer book case making isn’t hard, just tedious. Lots of case trimming and heavy neck turning. Try to bang out 200+ even if you don’t fireform right away.
One thing to keep in mind is the 22-250 die with plunger method works great with Lapua 220 Russian but I can’t tell you what would be the outcome of using .22 PPC Norma brass. You would have to work the taper back into it. I really like the cartridge. Try the 55 gr Target Berger’s too

A bushing setup makes it much less laborious to generously move shoulders back.You can crank out all sorts of evilness like this.
