New Member Selling Limits?

When I joined I believe I was told or saw a rule that said new members are limited in what they are allowed to do for a certain period of time, but I can't find specifics on that. Can anyone help ? Please and thank you.

Forum Boss: New members may not do ANY selling, in any fashion, for the first 30 days. The software will block new member from posting new Classifieds threads.

Yes this is the only thing I could find. It states that new members have a 30 day block on replying to WTB threads....

but I don't see anything that says a new member can or can't post an item for sale, or buy an item from a seller ? And if those items also have a time period restriction.

I read through both sets of the forum rules, and didn't see anything. However, 1.5 years ago, I was involved with a purchase that was from a new member and he got the post deleted due to it being too soon?

Also, keep in mind that as a non-contributing member (meaning not silver or gold) no matter how long you’ve been a member, you are limited in how many classifieds you can post, you can’t delete/reformat your posts after 30 days and can’t post WTS or WTB type titles.
@Forum Boss can probably clarify it but suffice to say this site is well worth the $25 investment of you spend any amount of time here.

New basic-level members are blocked by the software from starting threads in the Classifieds for 30 days. That is automatic.

The other rule is posted to ensure that NO sales are done by new members in the first 30 days by way of WTB responses.

A new member may purchase goods. However I caution ALL sellers -- exercise extreme caution when dealing with new members who do not yet have a track record. Specifically be wary of personal checks, and product trades. I would also avoid accepting certain web-based payment systems, because the buyer can get your stuff, then ask the payment system to reverse charges.

Regarding membership fees. If you sell ONE single $1500 product on Gunbroker, you will pay $58.75 in fees -- that's more than our $50 Gold membership.

The best 25 or 50 dollars spent here is to join as a Silver or Gold Member. The returns are limitless.
