It is not , simply know your password and Google it... It will try and get you to deactivate it but permanent deletion is one click away... I did mine two weeks ago becouse I will not let them make one more dollar from me.. I suggest you all do it since they are using it for other reasons , and I am not going to help them...

Never had FB or any social media accounts. Years ago one of the younger members of our gun club suggested starting a FB account for club activities and I emphatically said "let's not start getting into that crap, it's going to lead us into nothing but bad- the whole world does not need to know our business." Thankfully it got voted down.

data mining FB accounts is where Zucker got his money ?it seems to me it's a bit (no pun) lopsided . I'd bet FB double mines data by running logarithmic equations on everybody who clicks a FB account even though not all have accounts with FB and generate numbers to sale ,,,,, I know tin foil hat stuff

I never had any social media accounts and never will. I have Whatsapp on my phone for messages to/from some friends/relatives overseas, but I just discovered that Facebook owns that messaging service so it's going away. All those other parties know my email address anyway so I don't need it. Now if I could find a way out of Google on my Android phone I could be shed of most of the problem in my eyes. The only intrusion left after that would be government, and well, no getting rid of that.
