Just about out of reloading supplies! Now what?

I see a resurgence of traditional long rifles with a flintlock ignition...can be just as fun...and frustrating!

We survived 8 years of Obama. We'll get through this too.
I only had to survive 2 years of it. By 2010/11 there were deals galore around here. I knew some reloading dealers that by that point had so much inventory they couldn't move when their orders started coming in they ended up fire saling it to get out from under it. Looking forward to more of the same in a couple years. Sucks in the meantime though.

Earlier this, paid a visit to a local dealer. Figured I would grab a couple cans of powder and a calendar. Oops, brain cramps, Remington died, so no calendar, a 40 plus year tradition gone. The powders I was interested in gone. Primers have out of stock for quite a while at this shop. Hoarders must have swooped in to grab the powders to re-sell on Gun Broker or future gun shows. Due they still have them? Or has the China virus killed those also. Don't cry for me, I'm in good shape. The long term weak link in my inventory would have to be bullets. Starting to feel a little sorry for dealers like Precision Reloading, there supply appears to be almost zero. Was going to buy a 30-06 small base body sizing die. To my surprise, they are also on Back Order. Have to wonder in 2020 how many people are buying those things.
Your wrong , rhere are Remington caleners. I bought a 2021 ,last week. Not hoarders, but those with the intellect to realize an election year is coming, things will be short, get yourself covered for the next 18 mo. The only thing that bothers me more than the whiners are the business charging over normal retail who will expect us to buy from them when the supply chain catches up.

JEFFPPC, your right, got my calendar list week a Remington calendar, the tradition lives on for another year. Never had to buy in over 40 years, just gift from local dealer.

I had gives up since the big dealer in our area had none, I visted a little place out in the country and was surprised when they had them. Well hopefully some part of the Rem remains will keep it going.

Ever one when supleys go back down and are avaible pickup carton primers and couple boxes bullets and a pound powder you want be with out the next time around .

^^^^^^^thanks Bill Norris! I scrambled over to PV and was able to PU 10lbs H4198 tonight for I think is the most tenured shooter at our range. He has been shooting 6PPC for decades and was down to his last 1/2lb.
He is tough to beat at 300 but i'm trying ;)

U welcome. Happy to help out.

20 years ago I heard a Top Fuel crankshaft that cost $3k was junk after 6 passes. I doubt that has changed. And then there's tires and fuel.

And looking at wills optics right now...
ENVG III is $65k for a helmet unit
UTC xii or CNVD T3 at $25k for a clip on
You can blow a 100k in a car or night hunting before having enough to crank the car or shoot at something if do either right
