Picatinny Rail. MOA

Found a Picatinny Rail for a Savage short, round action. It is unmarked as to MOA. Measures .382 at the rear and .289 at the front. A marked 0 MOA that I have, measures the same thickness front and rear. Anyone know what the MOA of the unmarked rail is.

Tom

How long is the rail front to back?

Take your height difference x 3600 inches ÷ length of the rail to get your moa.

For example, if the rail is 7 inches, you'd calculate:
0.093 × 3600 ÷ 7 = 47.8 moa
I did the math as you did. (it was 7 inches). Something must be wrong, I have never see or even heard of 47 MOA rail. So confused???????????

Hard to say. I'm not sure how exact these manufacturers make them. I could see it being sold as a 40 MOA or 50 moa, but actually measuring 47ish.

You measured it to be spot on 7 inches long?

Yep. 7 inches. Thanks for all the help

I have a 40 MOA for my Model 12 three screw short action. The length of the two pads that mount to the receiver is 6". I measured the thickness with a standard micrometer at the holes on each end. One was .431 and the other was .363. Approximately .068" difference over the 6" length.
