Christmas Break

Things have slowed down a little on the forum. Probably a lot of people gone to visit family or pursuing some last chance deer.

We are going to be hanging around home, eating too much, watching a lot of football, and going to the range several times. Watching some grandkids open their gifts via Zoom on Christmas Eve. I am not taking any vacation until January 2nd, then I’m starting a permanent vacation called retirement.

Good hunting and safe travels to everyone, and a very merry Christmas to all! What are you doing for Christmas?

I have been, "in the shop" right much during this whole CZ thing. Not complaining one tiny bit.

Christmas is gonna be very lean this year, probably the fewest here since having babies almost 40 years ago...... and it's OK. Wife,me,and the baby girl(80# Dobe) are gonna eat too much, and party like it's 1999,haha. Just sayin we understand.

The very best of luck with your retirement. Took me 3 or 4 tries but finally "stuck". I missed the excitement of the $$ chase, more than the money itself. Sorta boring... AT FIRST, working on your own stuff but, once stepping up the pace and degree of difficulty you can get back to where,I was doing jobs for others.

Wife and I recently replaced two toilets that we've had for 35 years. And we're so excited..... new toilets,WOOHOO. So little things can be big improvements. Cheers,BW

Congratulations, I have done it twice already. Third time will be this year.

The Kids are officially on break we did family Christmas at Grandmas house yesterday, late doe season today. Kids go to their moms until Christmas day so the wife and I will do more hunting and some wrapping of gifts. Then the kids back at our house until new years so opening presents, relaxing and more deer hunting.

Congratulations on the retirement!

I took 3 days off as vacation between Christmas & New Years. Which nets me a total of 12 days for the price of 3. :D
Archery season comes back in then. So if it's not 10° & blowing, you know where i'll be.;)

Our daughter & new Grand daughter are coming over on Christmas day.
Our son, daughter in law & grand son live near Toronto.
They are coming down Jan 9th for a week.
They have to quarrentine for 2 weeks once they get back to Canada.
They are trying to get down & back BEFORE Jan 20th.

I retired almost exactly one year ago. Loving it. I was born to live the retired lifestyle. My only regret is that I did not have the ability to do it in my 30's or 40's.

Congrats on your retirement, I hope you enjoy it.

As for Christmas, I'll be here at work offshore until around the 6th of Jan. - I'm grateful to have a good job and an outstanding wife and to be involved in the shooting, reloading & gun projects as a hobby.
- My gunsmith contacted me yesterday and he's shipping parts soon back on a project that started about 10 months ago so I'll have that to look forward to as well as what 2021 brings.

- All The Very Best to You & the Great Folks that are here.

The Forum is actually as active as ever... maybe just not the areas you visit.

Congrats on the retirement... I am envious.

I turned 65 in October. Would like to retire. But with the demands of the site I don't see how that is possible. So far I've worked 7 hours on a Sunday, with at least 4 more to go.

That is the 194th day in a row. I have taken 4 days off so far in 2020. The last 2 days off were in June.

Boss, Thank you for everything you do for our site which I believe contributes to a lot of pleasure that the members get from the site and also helps preserve our great heritage of firearm ownership by our citizens. Merry Christmas to you.

Congrats on retirement. Some say they can't stand it and have to keep going. I broke over in 2018 and love it. I can find something to keep me busy besides work. LOL.

Forum Boss, I don't know if you have a snowballs chance that you could find someone that has the dedication and devotion that you have that you might delegate some of the chores. I'm sure you know
that one of the keys to success is to surround yourself with people you can count on.
I'm pulling for you,
Robert
