Messen with Texas.Don't forget that Bezos moved to TX from CA and brought his billions (probably to buy politicians). I would not tag him as a conservative.
He must not have gotten the memo.

Nevada has been flooded with asshole liberals. They shit in their beds, move away, and shit in their new beds. Absolutely infuriating. It sounds like you’re not one of them so that’s good.Has been about 7-1/2 months since I last posted anything here, but am pleased to return, with a renewed interest in firearms. My interest had been waning due to severe limitations in California. Limits on gun selection, parts, vendor avoidance of California, shrinking places to shoot, waiting periods, permits, special fees, ludicrous ammo purchase rules, and much more was sucking the life out of a dying interest. I had enough. Enough of the gun nonsense and enough of CA idiocy in general. My wife and I moved to another state. Good Lord, it is like escaping prison. It is hard to see just how much of a prison you are in until you are out of it and free. The restrictions are far less in our new place, and so is the overt hostility toward gun owners.
Now, I am far more free. I can fully immerse myself in firearms and reloading with few limits, reversing my waning interest. There are some restrictions here, but a far cry from CA. If anyone here lives in California and has contemplated moving, do it. For us, it was very hard, especially getting work done on the house we sold prior to selling, and doing all this in the midst of Covid restrictions. But, the newfound freedom is worth it.
Now, to see about resurrecting my old AR-10/6.5x47 Lapua project, left stalled due to CA laws. Can't wait to get it together and fire it alongside my 6.5x47 bolt gun at a long distance not too far out.

If you’re in the north in Nevada, join the Palomino Valley gun club and come shooting with us. There’s something for everyone and just about any kind of rifle, including old military rifles, tactical, rimfire, fclass and the most popular is a long range Varmint silhouette match held every month. Super laid back and always some good networking for gunsmiths and supply trading, and local knowledge.
I cant believe you left out the best thing about CaliforniaIts a tough situation being a republican here in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia, but I am choosing to stay here to fight the good fight and keep some of the best shooting going in this country. I have no less than 7 ranges within 1 hour drive of me (maybe more), I can shoot 1K f/class, Steel Challenge, Silhouette, Service Rifle, indoor rimfire, shotgun games, air gun, 3gun, USPSA, and more. All while living in the middle of a big city. I get that city life isn't for everyone, that's fine, but everyone saying all of us should leave really need to think about that when the president elect is recruiting CA politicians for the national level and you'd wish there were more of us here to try and change the outcome before it gets there.

Spicy Churches Chicken!!
I gotta get back down to Sac and grab a couple boxes.

Yes, NV (and many other states have seen an influx of Californians and the residents are not happy. I don't blame them one bit. As the conservative commentator Mark Levin once said, liberals are like locusts, they move in, destroy what was there, then leave to repeat again, oblivious they are the cause of the destruction of their own environment. I am probably more acutely aware of the danger of "Kalifornication" more than most, and hyper-sensitive to any libs moving here. Although, it must be said, that a fair number of conservative Californians are leaving that place, like me.Nevada has been flooded with asshole liberals. I've had Church's Chicken in ground zero - occupied Oakland. Also, ribs at the old Flint's BBQ on San Pablo Ave. Don't be caught out after 10 pm in either locale. Ok, I'm drooling now.I cant believe you left out the best thing about California

Hell, I'm 10 miles from the Kalifornia border on I-80. Where's the nearest Church's from me?I'll never eat Popeye's again after having fresh fried Churches.
There was conversation of us taking a trip to Sacramento just to grab a 20 piece box this evening.
Sacramento has 2 I know of, 1 on north side deep in the ghetto on Stockton blvd. This was the location where I 1st tried it.Hell, I'm 10 miles from the Kalifornia border on I-80. Where's the nearest Church's from me?

I have to say, though, the best fried chicken I've ever had is Korean style, from a sit-down specialty restaurant in any established K-town section of a city. I discovered it over twelve years ago in Manhattan (33rd St. off Broadway.) No, it's not an Asian style, it's just fried chicken but it melts in your mouth, probably largely due to the quality of fresh poultry they start with. The places usually only serve fried chicken, plus tons of different Korean side dishes and always the most perfect French fries. And typically they're full of large parties of Koreans, families or youngsters out with their school chums, all having a ball and not being quiet about it. Of course, the adults have to wash it all down with quantities of "OB" beer. A can't miss dining experience.Sacramento has 2 I know of, 1 on north side deep in the ghetto on Stockton blvd. Another down in Elk Grove.
@Fast14riot is not to far from the 1 in Stockton, head south over the tracks at the police station.
I could seriously do a tour of Churches. Now where's my hot sauce??
Yes, Korean BBQ as well. I've had it in NYC, the Bay Area, LA, Las Vegas, and on location, in Seoul. Best when a Korean businessman is paying the freight, and ordering for one and all. Oddly, when Korean suits are over here for a convention, they only want to go out for more Korean food, their attitude being it's the best cuisine in the world, so why bother trying other stuff? And I have a hard time arguing the point. Proud people.I freakin love me some Korean Bbq!!
Misoya in downtown Medford is top shelf for Korean in southern Oregon.
Mama San throws down. My wife is a regular there. Bulgogi and Kobe ribs is my favorites.
Plenty of OB is consumed by my wife and her girlfriend. I'm always the DD.

Next time we're in Sac visiting cuzin, we'll make a trip down for some grub.I used to live in Oakland in '01-'02, have eaten at both many times. Sadly, the San Pablo Ave flints was gone by then already.
@Bc'z there are two Church's here in Stockton, but there is better fried chicken here, and some amazing Korean as well! I live in the middle of the historic district with a bunch of excellent restaurants. Well, at least when Newsom let's them operate they're great.
What part of Maine? My home is in Maine but the majority of my time has been spent living and working overseas. I am 62 and riding out my remaining years on a project in Calf. I have been here for two years with three more left to go. Not sure, I am going to make it. I have never seen such an unfriendly state towards firearms.
I am living in the land of liberals where lovers of firearms cannot even speak about guns. I cannot wait until I return to my home in Maine and to enjoy a hobby that I love
