looking to buy a ammo box

I am looking to buy a 22 long rifle ammo box for 50 rounds. Is their any out there that have a sliding top, so one can dump out 5 at a time ? Any suggestions appreciated. What is out there ?

I saw a 50 round hinge top model from Frankford Arsenal on Brownells but I didn’t see any that let you dump five at a time. All the other Rimfire boxes I saw were for at least 100 rounds. I can dump 5 at a time from my Eley Match 50 round boxes because they have a plastic organizer holding them. Some of the other brands probably have 50 round boxes that you could reuse and dump 5 at a time if the ammo that came in the box isn’t what you want to shoot.

CCI Mini Mags come in plastic boxes with a sliding top that lets you drop 5 at a time. 100 count boxes though. If they would fill the bill, I'm sure you can find someone that would save boxes for you.

I do have a cci 100 round plastic box with the sliding top, which I considered using. but I thought I would see if any kind of 50 rounders are out there. Thank you

I dump 5 out at a time with any box of 50. Slide the plastic holder out one row at a time, flip the box over, 5 rounds in my palm just like that. Or am I misunderstanding the question?

Very true, as I always do this too. The problem is the cardboard boxes break down pretty quick, then you have a backpack or range bag full of loose ammo getting dirty from the lint or dirt in the bottom of the bag. Just looking to see if anything is on the market for 22 lr ammo.

I have some of the 100 round plastic aftermarket reusable boxes like MTM for .22 RF and am not a fan of them, so as pointed out, I keep my empty 100 and 50 round plastic factory boxes and refill them and label them as necessary. Same for .22 Magnum and .17 WMR.

I made some ammo boxes a while back but am embarressed to say how much I would have to charge for them if they were for sale. 6 each of eley and lapua and 1 RWS. Made one hole at a time on a Grizzly mill. Wayne

I have about 40 empty boxes of Eley with the thumb hole. I can send as many as you like. I also dump 5 at a time and they work really well.

Look at the Hornady 17 Mach 2 or 17 hmr boxes. they are 50 round with sliding tops
