Does this bolt handle knob make you scratch your head a little, or does it serve a purpose?

Can not remember seeing one like that, but maybe the extra knob/ring keeps a person from slipping down the shaft in fast reloads.. Someone will like it.

Bolt knobs like that are common on National match course rifles to aid in bolt operation during the rapid fire strings.

They do look goofy, but all the arc bolt knobs have the best function of any knob out there. The good thing about it is they are easy to change- but change it before you use it because once you do youll be keeping it.

That is a field action designed for PRS shooting and that bolt knob works great for fast
bolt manipulation. Guess you can look at a vacuum cleaner and tell how good it works.

Never used one like that but from the looks of it it does not look to be comfortable and I don’t like it

You can let it ride in the web between your thumb and hand when opening the bolt. Or a different technique is letting it ride on the side of your index finger as you thumb the shroud on the bolt for leverage. If those descriptions actually make any sense...

That looks just like the knob on T2K rifles. It really does work good in rapid fire and I have never noticed any problem with it slow fire. I tried other knobs and kept coming back to it.

Interesting. Just looking at it you would not believe this. But the folks that are actually using it seem to prove it out. Sort of like fat girls I guess, they serve a purpose though you may not be able to tell by just lookin at em.

Youre right, nobody that has actually used one dislikes it. I called to make sure it came off before i ever bought one. Theyre still on there with no plans of changing

Talk to ARC, I did. It's the preferred knob for shooters. I shot my buddy's and liked it. It's very easy to keep your fingers on and manipulate fast with next to no slipping unless your finger grip is full of arthritis. When I ordered my Nucleus I thought I'd be smart and had them swap knobs out for a different one that would be better, I was wrong. Wish I had left it alone. I also wish I had went the $35.00 and had them send the original with the action also. At one time they would swap out even if you didn't like the knob. I'm not going to put them thru that simply because it was my choice to change in the first place.
