Thinking about retiring in Jackpot Nevada ?

I am thinking about retiring In Jackpot Nevada this coming year or the next.
Never been there. Any you guys been there and can give me the good and the bad on it ? . I lived in ND For 5 years and loved it , but at my age cold gets to my knee replacements. I can stand some cold and snow but -35 for days can be rough on me.
I was hoping that Jackpot Nevada would be a little warmer in winter ? I just want to fish and maybe hunt and few coyotes and target shoot when I retire. But would like your thoughts of that area. Thanks. MD

I drove through Jackpot while on my way to Phoenix and at about 6:30 in the morning, the temp was 26F there.
I guess cold also is a matter of perspective. Compared to ND, 26F is probably T-shirt weather.
The town itself looked funky with a bunch of small casinos. That's all I could figure out while driving through it.

I went there to check it out one day when i was working in NV. Its kinda weird because theres like a vegas size newer casino resort there but a block away is a $30,000 house. Its so remote and small that power is not very reliable there nor is it a priority to make it better. The casino has generators and thats all they care about.

It's a typical NV border town(without a whorehouse that I know of), a few casinos and liquor stores and they have a golf course. On average it's likely warmer then parts of ND, it's high desert though so anything can happen. I just checked and it is colder there today than here in Grand Forks. Lot's of hunting, fishing, shooting to be done around though.

Spent a night in the RV Park one spring night about 5 years ago on the way to City of Rocks for a week of rock climbing. The most intense thunder/hail storm came through that I have experienced. Thought it was going to break the windshield of my Eurovan Camper. Also the gas station closes up overnight and it is a long way to the next town with gas in the middle of the night.

We have spent the night there on our way to Idaho ,just a hole in the wall in the desert. Must be a celeb get away of some sort from the looks of the nice casinos ? I have spent a lot of time in the desert and it can get a bit chilly but what a great place to get away from all the libs and chaos.

Folks thanks for all the good info and attachments to find out more info. Like I said I never have been to Jackpot NV but was kind of thinking it would be a great place to retire. Small town , lots of public land to Target shoot and maybe coyote hunt , not sure If they have any fishing. Real close to Idaho , maybe buy a non-resident lic too. Again thanks for all the info. Marty
