Delta Striker 5-50×56mm Scope Qs

Hello, I just purchased a Delta Striker 5-50x56. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with this scope. I'm shooting 1000 yards IBS and looking for a scope that's not over the top expensive, but is best in class for the price range. Votrex 15-60 , Sigtron SIII, NF, 15-45×56 and a few others would be in this price range. How does the Delta stack up ? It seems like a great price for what you get, just wondering if my purchase is a good one? Thanks in advance !!!

I bought it for what I fell is a really good price from EdGun. Brian there did a great job of answering all of my questions. I'm going to do some back to back through it and other scopes so I will try to let you know. From what I hear about it, it's really good glass. It's on the warm side, but that's probably ok, I'm no optics guy with a trained eye, so I'll just be reporting what I see.

I've got the Trijicon 5-50 version of that scope. They are supposed to be the same scope as the Delta. Did an informal comparison against a Nightforce comp. I preferred the Trigicon but it is very close. Neither will get kicked off my rifles. The Trigicon can be found at a street price of ~1800. You can't find a deal on the Nightforce Comp, they are 2400 everywhere.

When the mirage starts running, sun in your face or the last relay before dark thats when you see where your extra money went. Remember, everybody on the line would like to pay $700 less for their scopes
Do you have experience looking through the scope? I'm having problems finding people who have in the US. I have spoken with people in other countries but only that Dark lord optics guy on the YouTube about it. I only have videos for references at this point. Richard Utting and a few others.

Goto about the 20 min mark. Maybe just past that where it starts talking about the Delta

Yeah, the contrast is what I notice in the Trigicon as well as the brightness. The Trigicon seemed brighter and higher in contrast but at the same time just as sharp if not sharper than the Nightforce. You'd need some optical test equipment to really pin down the differences but it seems that optical aberrations are well controlled in both and both have excellent resolution.

How does it do in very bright sunlight against a mild white target ? I've been told that it actually works better than the Nightforce, but I think that it might be a personal preference? This scope will be here tomorrow according to tracking number , so I will get my first look then.

Scopes are really personal. You will see so many personal, I like this one
and the next guy says I don't. Why do you thing we all have a lot of scopes
and see just like new ones for sale. Only way to find out, is buy and try.
A little expensive, unless you can go to a match or a range with multiple
scopes that you can look thru.
Our eyes are different, we see colors, contrast and clarity differently
from one person to another.
So what's good for one isn't for another.

Understand. I do realize that eyes see differently, however great glass is good, no matter who is looking. There seems to be a few different scopes that just stand up to the scrutiny. German glass is one. What is your favorite scope ?

I actually own 2 Trijicon 5-50x56 (a clone of the Stryker)
and a Sightron ED
I think it's better than the Vortex GE, slightly better than the
Sightron SIII. Haven't looked thru a SVSSED yet. (the 10-50x60mm objective)
Would like to look thru a March HM just to compare.

I've only used it three times in competition. The light conditions varied at each match from shadows to bright direct sunlight. It seemed very good in all conditions but I did not have other scopes with me to compare to. I've had IOR Valdada, Vortex, Nightforce and a couple of other brands on my match rifles in the past. I think this is the best one so far. With the current trend to very fine simple cross hair reticles, some might complain about a reticle with hash marks that is not as fine as the finest on the market but I like it very much. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Make sure you get the ocular focus set to the point that the reticle is as sharp as can be to your eye and don't let anyone touch it after that. Once that is done set it up on a stable platform and observe the view. I think you'll be impressed.

Thank you.

Did you get the scope?
It shows to be here today. Called fed ex and it will be here tomorrow. I posted a message to Hawks ridge shooters (my local range) if anyone wanted to do a side by side comparison. I figure that we might as well figure out if this scope is any good as far as glass goes. Either put it to bed, or report what we see.

And the verdict is?
