Standardized abbreviation for Creedmoor rounds

Background: [x]mm CM designation is out. This construct has already been taken by the Competition Match cartridge. So I am proposing an "[x]mm cm" designation (case sensitive) for a Creedmoor based cartridge. English usage is such that if a usage becomes pervasive, it eventually gets adopted into the American English lexicon. Can we standardize on, e.g., "6mm cm" for 6mm Creedmoor? Yes, we can take the bull by the horn and own and force a concise, short-form designation for Creedmoor cartridges into widespread usage. Then the dictionary editors will have to accede.

If you’re going to abbreviate a single word, you shouldn’t be taking a letter from farther into the word. It should be C or Cr. CM stands for Competition Match! Too many Hiders that can’t figure this out though. There’s a big misbelief, that the cartridge was created by Hornady also. The idea came from the owner of Creedmoor Sports. He asked Hornady to work with him on the idea. That’s why it got the name.

For a long time, when I saw “6 CM”, I thought six centimeters. HOLY COW...an anti-aircraft RIFLE?!!

I’d settle for Creedmoor being spelled correctly on a consistent basis.

At one time a 7.5cm (75mm) naval cannon was fitted in the nose of the B25 bomber.
It was situated under the pilot on the left side. The flight engineer loaded it through the floor behind the pilots seat.
Sighting was done with the tracers from the forward mounted 50 caliber machine guns. (8 of them! 4 in the nose mounted horizontally, and 4 in single pods mounted on the sides of the aircraft)
Crews swore that when the 75 was fired, it actually stopped forward flight for a second.

What really irritates me is when someone plainly calls it a 6.5 assuming everyone must know its a Creedmoor, e.g., "how much RL16 for 130s in my 6.5?"

What's worse is people blindingly replying without confirming it is indeed a 6.5 Creedmoor. Then you get flammed for calling them out on it after a page of replies.

OK, you asked for this!!. my suggestion is simple the abbreviation TDABAEOAC ( the do all be all end of all cartridges). since there is no round on planet earth that even comes close to equaling the mighty Creedmoor(in either configuration but especially the 6.5) that is going to be my suggestion(or possibly, declaration!!!). some of you lesser mortals( that aren't worthy of even uttering the above acronym) can simply call it omnipotent!! until the end of days arrives, I have full confidence that the search for better cartridges can stop, it has been found. for backup(gotta watch my 6) I am forced to enlist the help of a friend @pirate ammo . NOW WE'VE GONE AND DONE IT, HOLD ON TIGHT

Considering the .264 caliber equates to 6.7mm, how about the 6.7 WGAF. I'll give you guys 3 guesses at to what the WGAF abbreviates.
