Fires in Oregon are VERY Close

the senator of oregon was asked about this... ^^^ he says that is just a viral rumor that has been put out there ... law enforcement says the same thing... just another way to divide the country... hard to imagine but this ole country might go back to being great again if the shut down the internet and put just 3 channels on the tv like it use to be...it amazes me all the people that will believe any damn thing they read on the internet....

I saw a story earlier that they had caught some dude out there setting a fire in the median on a highway, can't remember where I saw it at but I think he was from Washington area. He had ties to BLM and antifa according to what they found on his social media.

A guy who lives about 6 miles from me (Puyallup WA) was arrested for setting a fire along a local hwy. He does have ties to a few of the organizations that have been involved in the many "peaceful protests" lately.

At present, the only person we know of that purposely started a fire was the guy mentioned above. I have heard that the Archie Creek fire near Roseburg as well as the Holiday Farm fire near the Eugene/Springfield area were started by power lines being downed when heavy winds blew branches across the lines. Branches knocking down power lines in forested areas is not an infrequent occurrence here in Oregon. I have yet to hear the official reason the fires started so I don't know of what I heard is accurate.

While I too wondered if BLM/Antifa were starting forest fires, I am starting to think that isn't likely. When I look at all the places where the fires started, I see they are all fairly remote in low population areas. I think a fire started for terrorist purposes would be a lot closer to heavily populated areas, not 40+ miles away where this one started. (It started at the farthest point East on the map below.)

It was good talking to you today.
In my eyes there's still a lot of unexplained circumstances for what's happened here in southern Oregon. We're going to have to wait and see what the investigators conclude.

I've got to admit that I'm a suspicious bastard about these scumbags, and would put nothing past them. They've proven that they care nothing for innocent folks lives and property, and will go to any lengths to create havoc. jd

Fires in remote areas pull valuable resources (police, fire, etc) away from the areas they have been causing problems. Not saying they are starting them, just would not rule it out.

I just came across this. Realize I am open to whatever we finally learn about how the fires started. I would not be surprised if BLM/Antifa was involved in some of them.

However, the Douglas County Sheriff's office posted the following. I know people in that department and I also have met the Sheriff, John Hanlin. He is the Sheriff that led the way after the 2015 shooting at Umpqua Community College and is highly regarded in the county. Douglas county is a dark red GOP stronghold. Here is what they posted. Realize this is for just one of the many fires so it only applies to the one in Douglas County.

And as I mentioned somewhere above, our fire over here in Klamath county, apparently has been traced to a campfire at the Spring Creek Campground.

I spent yesterday afternoon on a couple of deliveries in that area, and woke up this morning feeling like I've got an advanced case of the Covid. jd

Last night I heard on Fox News, and subsequently saw it on other new sites as well, that 500,000 people in Oregon had been evacuated. That is 10% of the population, and is also incorrect.

500,000 people are under an evacuation status of some kind, like me. 40,000 people have actually evacuated.

This is why I am skeptical of ALL news reporting.....

The other issue now is the air quality. The greater Portland area literally has the worst air quality in the world right now.
Moderate air quality measures around 80, it’s currently 386 at my house and I’m about 20 miles from the fire lines. You walk out the door and you instantly feel like you’re eating a cigar.

"This is why I am skeptical of ALL news reporting....."

Sad but true about any news reporting these days.

Sincerely hope all members here in the affected areas suffer no injuries or property loss and that any arsonist are apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of any applicable laws.

You would think that repeated incidents of these type fires would convince legislators to allow a return to sound forest management practices but obliviously that would undermine their "climate change" agenda. The particulates released from these fires isn't good for the environment so forest management including clearing along power transmission lines benefits the environment unless I am wrong.

Been saying the same thing for years. Downhill since 24 hour news started..

I read past the headlines and it discussed evacuation alert, watch etc. They gotta do something to get your attention first.

Good morning gang, I just wanted to say, if you live in the areas that are affected by the wildfires, please know I`m praying for you. This IS a clear and present danger to many of you. I have a habit of checking members locales and know so many of you are in or near the hotspots. Please be safe. Someone commented the other day that 2020 sucked. I think it would have to improve just to suck. A new bad dream almost everyday. Go in safety and good luck Jeff
