Ammo find today... Anybody else..?

I purchased 5K 55 grain FMJ projectiles on GB. A bit high but still lower then everyone else's prices. Got them for $117/1000 shipped and no tax. Very very nice looking bullet. Also picked up 500 230 grain FMJ .45 bullets from RMR and I have 2,000 9mm bullets on backorder from them. Should have them in about 2 weeks or so. Locally I purchased around $600 worth of powder so I should be good for about a decade. Luckily, I always keep primers stocked up and won't run out anytime soon. After the last scare I vouched to never get caught with my pants down again.

Saw an 8 and several 1# of H4350 the other day. Was in the lgs they had a 1000 205m on the shelf, I was there long enough for the phone call and the rush customer at 45.99. I did buy some of the H380 they had for 21.00. Waiting for some AR comp to show up.

Managed to get 2000 124 grain 9mm RN coated from Midway and 3800 124 grain 9mm RN coated from SnS. Now I need to find primers.

I walked into Gibson’s. The guy announced they just got a pallet of 9mm in!:)
I looked at him and said “I don’t own a 9mm.”:eek::eek::eek::eek: I thought about buying one!:rolleyes:

Funny I just bought my first 9mm and can’t find any ammo.

Ive been "collecting" 9 brass lately. dont own a 9 either but planing on buying one - wheel gun of coarse.

Found two boxes of .223 ( Academy )and a thousand pack of Berry's bullets for 9mm (Cabelas )... Couldn't believe it... Actually normal price for the 9mm but the .223 was 8+ a box which is a bit high... I am going to shoot them slow...lol...
Now hopefully primers will come back soon... Anybody else seeing stuff on shelves..? I was floored when I saw these....
surprised me - Got a 555 box of Winchester 22lr at Wally the other day for 21 something plus tax. only one they had but guy working counter said he just sold 8 boxes to somebody.

Brings back memories of hunting for 22's at Walmart a few years back. Back then you could see when a store received a shipment of .22's on their website. Bought a lot of Federal 550 bulk packs at Walmart.

Last week I ventured into a small country LGS for the first time since the latest shortage.... I mean buying frenzy began. They were pretty well stocked. I even saw a few pounds of H1000 on the shelf. I picked up a couple pounds of IMR 4064 and some Sierra 39 gr SBKs that I never restocked on since my prairie dog trip last year. They had some ammo on the shelves but I didn’t look really close to see what it was.

I have managed to pick up a few pounds of TAC I needed from Pirate Ammo , he's right down the road from me... Now when this crap dies down I am going to buy a case of primers and put them in the closet...

It's nice to see so many people finding little treasures during these times.... I have talked to alot of people and they have said they keep going ammo shopping almost like Easter egg hunting because it's something to do... I might be guilty of this myself..lol.... I honestly thought I had enough ammo but during this mess maybe I don't... But one thing I have learned is you can't really be ready for everything... Before I moved here I lived on the coast , I moved further north to Central Texas and thought well I don't have to worry about hurricanes anymore... I learned all my hurricane supplies were not fire proof and poof everything was gone...

Have a great day everyone , enjoy your Easter egg hunts and good shooting....

I found two bricks of Eley Tenex and the price was reasonable. Going to use it sparingly. One box a day.
