Gun Control Policies in DNC Platform

Everyone should read today's Daily Bulletin about the Democratic Platform on the 2nd Amendment. This is real folks!

Call this a licensing thread rather than a political thread.

That IS relevant to all gun owners. The DNC wants state gov'ts to require licenses for gun ownership.

If state licenses are required to own guns -- as the DNC wants, then the states can control WHAT you buy, how much you pay (via "registration surcharges"), how you can store guns, how you are allowed to transport them, and where (and when) you can shoot them.

They can also created tiered licenses, so you might have a right to shoot a rimfire gun at a range, but not a centerfire gun. And the license might forbid having a loaded firearm in your home.

The states can also say a gun license will cost you $1200/year... or more. And they can require a week of mandatory gun training EVERY year to renew your license. At $2000 per class.

Once a license is required to exercise a Constitutional right...

Its funny I've been warned for 40 years that the dems are going to take my guns.. but i cant recall a single one they have took.. im guessing i will have them all 40 years from now if by some chance im still kicking.. if you like how the state of our country is today heck yeah lets vote trump.. if you dont then do something about it.. main thing is exercise your right to vote and vote.. and who ever wins wins.

Read it yesterday, nothing surprising, but this is a must read for everyone who owns firearms and cherishes the right to own them.
We all know their end game is the revoking of the 2nd Amendment and confiscation of all firearms, but there are many out there who think this is just a conspiracy theory.
One question though. Are they referring to bolt guns when they say ban the manufacture and sale of modern sporting rifles?

Forum Boss: The DNC Platform (text provided above) says "assault rifles". This will surely include anything that looks like an AR or AK. However, based on what Canada did recently, yes, I would expect the DNC's definition of "assault rifles" would embrace bolt guns that look like "sniper rifles".

If that demented fool does get elected, he won't be in office long. He'll cite health reasons to step down, or his own party will pull the 25th Amendment on him. CamelToe Harris is being rumored to be top choice for VP, that will put her in the cat bird seat, I'm sure they have some other "Commrad" waiting in the wings for the veep seat.
