Try the 80.5 fullboresThanks for the info. My 7.7 twist Bartlein seems to stabilize 80gr Berger vlds good just not seeing the accuracy I am wanting.
80 Amax/ELDs are excellent as well for a hunting bullet. I say hunting but I've only shot predators and varmints with 75/80 Amax/ELDs. Both are great.75's all the way imho
Especially if you're hunting!

22-250 AI/8 twist.Thanks. What are u shooting them in
ThanksMt.Boy, You might want to look at the Hornady 73 gr ELD M. That bullet was for a 1:8 twist. B.C. is not quite as good as the 75 gr ELD M. Bruno's has them in stock. Just a thought. 7315br
A true 8 twist will have NO problems stabilizing the 80gr Hornady. There was something else at work.My buddy and I shot 80.5 Berger full bore very well in 8 twist, but the 80 Hornady would not stabilize. Maybe your twist will do the job.

Thanks for the info. Ordered a box of 80s to try should be here anydayThe 73s are IMO one of the best mag length bullets out there. They have a BC better than a 77 SMK and they WILL shoot.
But as BC goes, the 75 and 80 ELDs are quite a bit better than the 73s. I've shot a bunch of the newer ELDs. Several hundred 73s, 75s, and 80 and a box or two of 88s.
My first goal is the best accuracy. Second comes the BC numbers. Obviously we'd all love the highest bc bullet to be "That Bullet" but unfortunately they aren't always the best bullet in everyone's rifle. I've been pretty lucky to find that 90% of the bullets I've loaded have been the higher BC bullets and they shoot as good as any. Those numbers don't mean alot until ranges exceed 600+ yards. Mostly even beyond that depending on bullet weight and cartridge. The 73s are IMO one of the best mag length bullets out there. They have a BC better than a 77 SMK and they WILL shoot.

Thanks for the info. What powder did u use with 80sI’ve ran both 75 and 80 grain Bergers through my 22BR to the tune of a few thousand rounds.
The 75s gain some velocity but with the lower BC it was a wash. I found myself using the same clicks for both bullets.
I like the 75 if I’m hunting, the 80 shooting targets.
