why didn't he have the problem on the second or third firing I think the brass has lost its pring back and need annealing ??

It often takes 4 to 5 firings before the web expands to the max.

I'm starting to get bolt click at the top. I have 4-5 firings on my brass without annealing. I have been bumping .002 [HARRELLs DIE] should I try .004 or use a different die such as a .45 cal or 308 to resize the web, or just try annealing necks first?

That explains it perfectly, it’s not that
uncommon of a thing to happen most on here has experienced it. You may in fact have a die that can fix the problem until you can order one that will work. You already stated you were getting your desired shoulder bump so taking some off the bottom of your die or shell holder won’t help. If you have a .308 die or any die in that family try sizing your base with that, a small base die would be perfect. It’s not really going to hurt anything except upsetting your rifle when extracting the case. I would simply do as others have already said,.... measure what you need and order a die but in the mean time if your like the rest of us you probably have a die in your arsenal that will get you by. When I first started loading for 6 brx I used a 6br sizer and seater die in conjunction which a .308 die to size the base, it worked flawlessly just didn’t like the extra step

I use two different gages to verify after I bump. The L.E. Wilson, headspace gage is great for headspace and case length tolerance but is a little loose at the web. The Lyman cartridge gage is minimum tolerance at he web. When I size, the case will drop freely in the Wilson and fit snug in the Lyman.
