I've jumped them over .100 and they grouped very well. All AMax and ELDs love to jumpWhat jump do these 162gr ELDX's like..??

Don't be afraid to try an extreme jump. I've had them groups tighten up when I jumped them .080, .090 even .100.I'll try like I said and give up..
Change back to what I used before as I'm just wasting barrel life etc etc

Depends on the rifle & it's intended use.
I'm seating 0.020" off the lands in my Savage 111 in 7mm Rem Mag with good results.
My custom Mauser in 284 Win has the SAAMI extremely long freebore.
I can seat the 162s out that they are barely held by the neck.
But seated to Hornady's suggested 2.995", and checking concentricity, it can be a very accurate hunting rifle.
