RCBS Rebel press (coming soon)

I chuckled when I looked at the photo of the ram primer in action. . . with a .45 ACP case in the shell holder. Struck me as a little incongruous.

Holy cow - this thing makes a Rockchucker look like a toy.

I think this is the one I'm going to get when they are available. The strongest selling point for me was the spent primers go out the bottom of the ram to a receptacle set underneath. No more spent primers bouncing all over my basement floor. They aren't as bad as stepping on a LEGO, but..............

Yes I too saw that and think it will be a good setup

Where do you see that the primers are dropping out via the ram? Cant find a description stating that? What is the small “square” plastic bucket next to the ram for?

The RCBS Rebel Press is the next evolution in single stage press technology. Machined from tough-as-nails cast iron this press will not let you down.

  • Heavy Duty Cast Iron Frame (22% heaver than the Rock Chucker Supreme)
  • Wide Base for Extra Stability
  • Tallest Opening of Any RCBS Single Stage Press
  • Machined Qualified Surfaces
  • Extremely Tight Tolerances
  • Bottom of Ram Primer Ejection
  • Ambidextrous Handle
  • Zerk Fitting
  • RCBS Limited Lifetime Warranty

Looks like it would be about 3x as flimsy as a cast iron O press and 2x as flimsy as a C frame. Those solid dowel rods for a frame are not near as strong as a solid frame
I thought it was an "O" press? You sure you're looking at the "new" press?

Here is a link to the rebel

pretty sure others also assumed that the link you put in your post was about the rebel...

Is this mostly just bigger and maybe handles primers better than the Rockchucker? Something like RCBS' answer to the big Lee Classic Cast?

NOT flimsy at all Dusty - The ammo master & Hornady version of this big press have Way less flex than any press that I've ever used. - Some would say they are oversized for "normal" reloading chores.

So you are saying they lack reading skills?:p:cool:

Well to tell you the truth I was confused as well. I’ve never seen a rebel and you was saying this may be your next press so I thought same as Dusty that the AmmoMaster was it, never saw one of them either. So I’m in the inbreed hillbilly can’t read group as well I guess.
