That's like saying the fuel enhancers are all kerosene so let's just use kerosene.
Additives make the kerosene do a different style of a better job. However, some do & some are just marketing bull chit.
How to "not fall for the hype" is what works well for me.
Do what you do, play with your toys the way you want. Enjoy !

Thanks fur the complement !
I ain't so young but I'll play the role of "Grasshopper" amongst consistent BR shooters !
Is what the same ? I don't understand the question Butch.
My gut tells me that Accelerator is a soapy water based product. If you put a patch with a little soapy water down the barrel the first couple of patches you will get the same results with out the stink.
I like the price of a small bottle of soapy water. I save the lighter fluid for the triggers. My gut tells me that Accelerator is a soapy water based product.

I trust one thing for copper....overnight with Sweets. My one brx at 1800 rds takes 3 nights. Still shoots good....meaning it's still competitive. The Wipeout/Patchout has a soapy nature to it too. I was out yesterday and was shooting a rifle that as somewhere close to 400 rounds through it over about 28 years. My last group was with a load using IMR7977 powder. The lion's share of the powder fouling was removed with 4 tight patches and some 70% isopropyl/rubbing alcohol pushed through. The rest was with 3-4 treatments with accelerator/wipeout. Didn't see even a hint of any copper fouling. Was shooting Barnes .25 caliber 80 grain TTSX bullets.
Not even close!! A clean patch is just that, a patch that didn't pick anything up, scope it and then tell me about it!You're looking to see if there is anything in the barrel except shiny grooves & and lands. A clean patch does not always a shiney clean barrel make.
