I think maybe he’s asking if Accelerator and Ronsonol are the same. They definitely are not.

If you put a patch with a little soapy water down the barrel the first couple of patches you will get the same results with out the stink.

My gut tells me that Accelerator is a soapy water based product.

I like the price of a small bottle of soapy water. I save the lighter fluid for the triggers.

The Wipeout/Patchout has a soapy nature to it too. I was out yesterday and was shooting a rifle that as somewhere close to 400 rounds through it over about 28 years. My last group was with a load using IMR7977 powder. The lion's share of the powder fouling was removed with 4 tight patches and some 70% isopropyl/rubbing alcohol pushed through. The rest was with 3-4 treatments with accelerator/wipeout. Didn't see even a hint of any copper fouling. Was shooting Barnes .25 caliber 80 grain TTSX bullets.

I trust one thing for copper....overnight with Sweets. My one brx at 1800 rds takes 3 nights. Still shoots good....meaning it's still competitive.

You're looking to see if there is anything in the barrel except shiny grooves & and lands. A clean patch does not always a shiney clean barrel make.

Not even close!! A clean patch is just that, a patch that didn't pick anything up, scope it and then tell me about it!

Anyone flush the bore with Acetone? Seems to work well for me.
