How Peterson Cartridge Company decides on new cartridge brass

Thank you for reaching out and checking in on the WSM’s. Right now, we are not working on them. We will eventually make them I am sure I just don’t know when. We jumped the gun when the owners decided to announce them at the 2018 Shot Show. Since then they have learned to not announce a caliber until we actually have it. I do apologize for any and all inconveniences.

Is this a copy of a recent email?

I wish they would either say YES its coming with a tentative date or just say we thought about it and decided against it.
I need to order more 300 WSM brass and Im tired of of waiting on their WSM brass. I guess I'm gonna have to make a descent purchase of Norma WSM brass
I agree, sitting in the corner and winking at every sailor that walks into the bar is not a good plan.
Lets see what they say, it might just be a miscommunication. That happens all the time, and is what I am hoping we hear.

If that is the case, it looks like Peterson is just flirting with us over the WSM brass....... thats not in good form. I wonder if @Peterson Cartridge Company can help us understand this?

I don't know why they even started this thread. You don't know anything more now than before. It is a private company and they can make which ever brass they want for whatever reason they choose. This is just free advertising. They make good brass. Just quit dreaming. It won't help.

Gentlemen ,
I'm not sure what that email is about or where anything stands on any particular cartridge at this moment. Please do not get discouraged about anything. I can't even get answers for anyone until holiday weekend is over.
Apologize for any confusion but we will keep communication going as schedule permits.

Fair enough, thank you Tim.

Yeah..... I’m gonna vote for the 6PPC Family. But include 6.5 Grendel, 6 Grendel, 224 Grendel.
The folks that shoot the Grendel Wildcats would be all over preformed and necked down Brass. Currently we have to buy lapua and size down.

Thanks for being here to keep us posted.

If you are looking for "families" of brass...
RUM family...
300 RUM, 338 Edge, 338 RUM, 375 RUM
WSM family...6.5 wsm, 270 wsm, 7 wsm, 7/300 wsm, 300 wsm, 325 wsm...
PRC family...
6.5 prc, 300 prc, (and yes, we all know the 7 prc and the 338 prc will either show up as a saami cartridge or gain a wildcat following)

O. K Tim why is Euro optic advertising Peterson 280AI brass for sale?
It does say Back ordered.

Gentleman ,
It's Tim again to update information. The reality of the situation is very simple to explain. We have produced 4 new cartridges to our line up.
1. 280 Ackley
2. 280 Rem
3. 270 Win
4. 30-06 Springfield
We were waiting for our formal press release to come from graphics and we will still be doing a formal release in the near future.
The above cartridges will be available at Graf's in the coming weeks. Hope this clears up any confusion.
