To heck with that. But yeah, fellow Texan. Where I live, it’s scorpions. One stung my pup on the nose in the kitchen. After that, she would point them out for us. I’d catch it and put the bastard in the microwave. It sounded like one kernel of popcorn popping.

I think Texas told Australia to "Hold my Beer!" So many things there that stick, bite, or sting you. I will say that if KY ever gets infected with the liberal cancer that plagues Jefferson and Fayette Counties, Texas and Idaho are my next potential homesteads.

They get one heck of a lot bigger than that. I'd be looking for it's mom!

The scorpions in S. Texas can get fairly large also. Here's a picture of one dragging a bird wing up our back porch wall.

My wife jumps in the bathtub and screams like a little girl when she sees the little 2 inchers we have back in Delaware. If I showed her this one, she’d be packing the car!

We can't hold a candle to Australia when it comes to poisonous snakes. The web says they have about 170 varieties. We have only several varieties of rattlesnakes, copperheads, Cotton mouths and coral snakes that can hurt you. Even their frogs are poisonous.
