I'm just a phone call away, if you want to talk tuners. I'm always happy to help with them and I only do tuner orders by phone, for this very reason. It's an injustice to us all, to not give good instruction on tuner use. Same goes for most products. Happy to help! What tuner works the best abd why. I am stuck between a Bukys or an Ezell tuner? Yep. Plus if you listen to him and follow his direction using his tuner is very simple and effective.I called Mike two weeks ago expecting to spend five minutes on the phone with him getting some tips on how to use his tuner. The expected 5 minutes turned into 45 minutes, as each piece of new info for me, led to two more additional questions. It was one of the most informative 45 minute conversations I’ve ever had. Mike stands behind his product and, more importantly, wants the owner to understand how to use it successfully.

In centerfire, one of, if not the first tuner, was a Gene Beggs. Gene came on Benchrest Central and spent hours explaining what a tuner is, and how, and why a tuner works. When Benchrest Central lost their archives a treasure trove of information was lost. Gene Beggs also went onto the now defunct or little use Bench-Talk with Stan Ware as the moderator. He spent a lot of time explaining how a tuner works and answered many questions. I said when someone who had never beaten me then beat me with a tuner, I’d get a tuner. Hal Drake beat me at the IBS Nationals at Chippewa, Ohio. We called Gene Beggs, got some tuner, and threaded some barrel muzzles. They work and when you think it out it’s easy to see that they work. In order to install the Beggs Tuner we had to turn the muzzle end to straight and press on a sleeve to bring the muzzle diameter to slightly larger than the major diameter of the threads in the tuner. Then heat the sleeve up and press it onto the muzzle and then thread the sleeve. Now, if your muzzle is big enough you just turn the muzzle to straight to take out the taper. The Beggs and any other tuner works because the weight of the tuner is moved a very small amount and it changes the barrel harmonics so the bullets leave the barrel at the same time in the vibration cycle. I told you it was easy to understand. A picture of the Beggs Tuners on one of my barrels.
