I just checked the rim thickness on 300 rounds of one lot of SK Std. +. My Mitutoyo digital caliper has a resolution of .0005". There were three groups.
40.33% @ .0366-.0375"
54.66% @ .0376-.0385"
6% @ .0386-.0395"
I have three other lots that I can check. The lot I checked tonight shoots good in my 52s, I have another lot that shoots great in them and one that is so so. It'll be interesting to see what these two measure. One lot hasn't been shot yet.
I'll check 300 of each lot, if they fall into the same range as the lot tested tonight I see no need to do anymore testing for rim thickness. Of course I will shoot the three tested lots in my 52's and my 1712 to see how the shake out.
