Earthshaking news...

We just had one in Kalispell, Montana about an hour ago. We always get them up here. Big fault line under the flathead valley. They say we get earthquakes every day, but you dont feel them until the hit about 4.0 or greater.

Sounds like a freight train rumbling down the tracks, hits the house for a few seconds, then you hear it heading away where it finishes up on Flathead lake.

West Texas has a 5.0 quake (near a nowheresville named Mentone) last week, felt it here in SE NM. Never felt a quake before.

Plagues, Locusts (in Africa), Quakes. Guy at work asked what's next? Meteor named Wormwood?

There are actually two meteors that may threaten us that I read about the other day.

Matthew 24:5–8 gives us some important clues for discerning the approach of the end times: “Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters—these are signs of the end times. In this passage, though, we are given a warning: we are not to be deceived, because these events are only the beginning of birth pains; the end is still to come.

I'll drink to that... Or rather, I am drinking to that. No reloading tonight. :)

I went through a quake when I was about 7 years old and I am 62. My bed was moving around the floor some minor plaster cracking. It was scary. All of western ny near lake Ontario is right on a fault line. We have tremors almost every year. They are small ones thank God. These things happen all over the world since the dawn of man so relax and drink one for me. Stay safe.

we just had our first earthquake about 6pm today. I'm sitting in my recliner, and it starts to shake. Then I look in the dining room and the chandelier is swaying. The TV news guy says we are experiencing a 6.5 quake, centered about 100 miles NNE of Boise.
Are the End Times coming...?
Dam, that is right down town McCall. Have you heard any details.

Could be............:eek::eek::eek:o_O
Anybody watching the Yellowstone crater?o_O

5.7 near SLC last week, 6.5 near Boise. Yellowstone is literally shaking all the time! Have a look at the University of Utah seismograph network sometime. Interesting stuff!

An interesting factoid about why the seismograph network is located at the U of U. If Yellowstone goes, this network is the closest place from which it theoretically could be monitored that wouldn’t be obliterated.

When Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980, it ejected 0.25 cubic miles of magma. When Yellowstone did last, it ejected 640 cubic miles. It’ll be a real bad day when that happens!

There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these things are the beginning of birth pains “. Matthew 24: 6-8

“There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilence in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven “. Luke 21:11

“ When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads; because your redemption is drawing near “. Luke 21:28

That redemption is faith in Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection saves believers from their sins.
