To those naysayers that think raindrops cant affect a bullet-

When I was a tiny little kid I used to put my finger out of the window of my dad's car driving down the road at about 40 mph when raining with vacuum wind shield wipers working (that was a real long time ago, '37 Ford, tiny V8) , the tip of my approximate .338 diameter little finger felt every impact - image what the effect of an impact say at 2500 fps would do. My mom used to yell at me to get my hand inside the car but I was never bribed by promises of a Dairy Queen Sundae.

Thanks Dusty, good info there . I have never been a naysayer on the subject, good to read some real info .

Only three things I like doing in the rain, Hunting ducks and deer, catching native Brook Trout , and taking a shower under the eaves of the house .

Dairy Queen, now that brings back some great memories . My Dad was a sweet lover,no bribing required...all we had to do was hint . Love those banana splits, and the Mr. Mistys...those things could freeze your brain.

Sorry again to burst your bubble I've shot 1000 yard competition for 40 some years and always shot better in the rain and never had one pushed out of the group that I could say the rain got me.
I have always loved shooting in the rain, never had a bad one. And I've seen other guys have targets in rainy conditions you would love to have.

Rain isn't a problem for me either but ask Frank Weber what happens when you hit a bird!

As an old Marine that went through monsoons in Vietnam any "naysayer" that says rain will not impact bullets is simply ignorant! Geez where do these "experts" come from?

All I can say you’re one lucky shooter!
