Question on a shotgun primer

Folks. I know this is a rifle forum but hope some one can answer this question for me. I bought a 10 gauge shotgun brass EMPTY shot shell.
It has never been loaded or fired .
It is not a antique. A company makes them now a days. I think guys load and use in them in cowboy Reenactment matches.
Their is a hole we’re primer goes.
I want to just glue or press a USED primer in it to cover the whole and just put it on coffee table for conversation piece. I don’t have a 10 gauge.
Question.... is a 10 gauge primer the same size as 12 gauge primer.
If not I was wondering if some one had ( 2 ) 10 gauge primers I could buy for this project. Thanks. MD

Do you want some fired shotshell primers?
I have tons of them.
They are Winchester 209's.
I think they're all the same. Never loaded 10 ga. but it's the only primer I use for .410, 28ga, 20ga and 12ga.
Measure your primer pockets and we'll figure it out.
PM me, if that's what you're looking for.

Ok. I shoot trap every once in a while.
I will bring a few empty rounds back home him and get a primer out of the empty shell and see if it fits. I also shoot a muzzle loader but think my 209 primers have a lot of plastic on them. I want a metal primer will look at little better in brass shell.
I will Keep looking at this thread and will let you know what works. Thanks. Marty

Marty,
If your muzzle loader has the 209 ignition system it’s the exact same 209 the shotgun uses
