Loctite 620 on AR barrel extension?

I’ve heard a couple times now that people are using Loctite 620 when they are assembling their barrel into the receiver on an AR 15. Along with that, they are truing up the face of the receiver using lapping compound. Has anybody tried this, and does it help accuracy any? As usual, thank you for your comments!

I have done this from the advice of others who have achieved great accuracy from there builds, and with good results, now I can't say that I have done a with and without comparison, but does make perfect sense to have things squared and rock solid

While I haven't done a before-and-after comparison, that is how I assemble all of mine currently. Some go as far as installing a .001" shim around the barrel extension before installing the barrel to minimize movement.

How hard is it to remove a barrel when Loctite 620 was used? Does it require heat? Does it come completely clean?

You'll need heat. Zediker recommends using gasket remover to clean the residue up when you remove the barrel.
