Centerfire tuners

I wanted to add a little to what I’ve said about seating depth and the tuners
I shoot group 100-200 yds where a .220 agg over five targets in a yardage is good for 10th place or worse

In other types of shooting a .220 gun can be all you need to win

I have found I need to take the extra step of finding seating depth then add the tuner to the gun
Teen aggs are hard to come by!

Tim
We all know that teen aggs is your normal place of business. I remember shooting a .155 agg and you beat me with a .154. Just hard to keep the cream from coming to the top. Can’t wait till Shamrock and maybe get Cathie to dig up some more steaks. Eddie Harris

Can’t wait!
I broke down and scabbing together a Bat

If anyone is in the business of teen aggs
Its Eddie Harris!

That's not the point I took from his post, but what a tuner can do is only to extract whatever a given load has, in a rifle, in a given condition..from it. IOW, if that load will shoot dots at 90°, a tuner can make it dot up at 70°.
FWIW, seating depth does not seem to be that critical with a tuner. I've been very fortunate to win a lot of matches and haven't chased the lands, essentially, since I started using a tuner...in 2008! That's pretty huge! This at least implies that tune is about barrel timing..bullet exit with barrel position in its oscillation. If that is true, then it also applies mostly, to powder charge. I have found this to be true, fwiw.

No, we're not comparing hof points here. We're comparing results on paper to confirm what was seen on an oscilloscope during vibration analysis. The two combined, still don't equal your hof points. That doesn't mean it's useless information either, Bart. Maybe this was a case of one or both of us misinterpreting his post.

Just curious as to what diciplines and caliber's you are speaking of.

Also, are you weighing power?

If you're asking what discipline that I shoot, it's short range BR, but my tuners, and others, are being used in virtually every accuracy oriented discipline there is, short and long range br, f class, and rimfire. Obviously, this encompasses many calibers. As for weighing powder. Sometimes yes, but I usually throw my charges.
