220 RUSSIAN Heavy Bullets

Does anyone here have practical experience with a 220 Russian and heavy bullets. More properly how fast would a 220 Russian run a 75 to 80 gn bullet? With which powder? Thanks

Compare powder capacity to a .223. That will tell you.My guess is that it will.

Tag. I never read anything on anyone shooting a 220 russian. Kinda suprising being that everyone uses the lapua brass to make 6 ppc cases. Curious how a straight 220 russian runs compared to other 22s.

Look up a 220beggs. Thats what it essentially is

I shot 22PPC for several years. N540 will get an 80 going 3100+.

I shoot the 220 Russian (Beggs) but with 52grn bullets and as a hunting rifle, not a comp. rifle.
