My brother stopped in for a beer yesterday. He shows me a used Smith & Wesson M60 .38 he recently picked up. Out comes the Teslong for a look inside. He has some cleaning to do.

I can't add more to the new rigid scope thread, for some reason it times out. I will add it here.
There has been "radio silence" from Joanna at Teslong for a few days. Could just be a holiday shutdown or something. I suggested they use a better image of proper use of the rigid model instead of inserted into the muzzle. I sent these as a possibility. I also have questions in about the thread problem I have.

I found another scrap barrel in the pile worthy of pictures. This is an old popular brand 25" CM from the pre .260 Rem. days. Chamber is marked 6.5 x .308 and came off a silhouette rifle. I have no data on this one. It appears that all efforts were made to keep it copper free. Looks like the owner got his moneys worth from it.

......and another one pulled from the silhouette barrel coffin.

This one is a 24" #4 contour CM with no ID anywhere on it. Only the chamber size is nicely engraved. Another oldie from the pre .260 Remington days. Marked like this, 6.5MM X .243WIN......all caps. I have no history on this left behind barrel. It does look like the owner kept it copper free. It has a few silhouette seasons on it.

Those are some super sharp photos. Much nicer than with my Lyman borescope.

Impressive and priced right ... Teslong looks like the way to go.

Yes, they are clear and crisp. As stated in other posts, I owned a Hawkeye for a number of years and the views in my opinion are equal. The ability to share those views is what sets them apart. Not to mention the price point.

My hope is they can improve the light control, the 3 steps on my Wifi model are insignificant in .22 cal bores, it was less of an issue when inspecting my .308.

Translation? : What do us gun guys look at with a bore scope. (eg. carbon build up, copper build up, flame erosion, defects and anomalies. What changes would you like to see added or improved.

I am preparing to send an email response, but would like to add some input from the current users or potential buyers on this site. To "perfect" their products real user advice or input will be needed. I would cut and paste your words and keep identities anonymous.

Feel free to add your thoughts here to send their way.

I will start. I want to see a .17 cal. scope with a 90 degree mirror. I see Sieg's light control comment. I too would like to see a lower light setting to reduce glare.

For your viewing pleasure......

I last looked at my 1937 BSW K98 8mm when I had the Hawkeye. This prime copy will always be a safe queen..KING. Too valuable to use as a plinker. I have a beater Turkish 98 copy to satisfy that itch.

Is the gold in the next to last picture copper fouling ?
I dont have it in my benchrest guns . I have some lite streaks but my boretech products keep them sparkling

It could be a rust or corrosion spot from many years past. Rough enough to pick up some copper. It may have also been a minor flaw or impurity in the steel bar stock that got exposed at machining.

While looking at another Remington CM bore today I came across similar spots close to the muzzle. They were all on one side of the barrel two inches apart. Could have been impurities in the steel bar stock exposed when drilled.
