Info was published about the shooter. Summary, he was homeless, had two aggravated assault charges spent ~120 days in jail, had a brother who committed suicide, and was a member of the church he attacked. He was taken in by the church. Don’t know his motive. He wasn’t on any watch lists. No info on how he got the gun.

I suspect she might be as mentally defective as her 2 brothers. That is, her conclusion doesn’t make any sense, but her appraisal of her brother’s religious beliefs is not a conclusion but IS an assessment based on her firsthand knowledge.

I agree, nowhere is safe from a nutcase anymore, but the chances of a person going off without having lead thrown back at them diminishes when there is a good guy present who can gain the upper hand in a bad situation and put down the threat.

You can't! Unless you practice a sidestep with draw to get out of his tunnel vision. You are much better off to physically attack immediately . Everyone thinks the gun is the answer EVERY time but you have to use your best weapon which is your brain. You may get shot doing it but have a better chance of survival at that distance.

Folks train as you fight cause you will fight as you trained!
This includes drawing form concealment and getting a first round hit quickly. Shooting one handed with both hands. Shooting from different positions. Train carrying opposite handed you may half to some day as I am now cause of sciatic problems. Shooting at distance out to at least 50 yards. Just food for thought.

On the local news, shooters ex-wife is saying he suffered from mental disease, though never officially diagnosed, and he was self-medicating with illicit drugs for many years. He couldn't hold a job, but she never suspected him of being likely to do something like that, even though he had history of anger management issues. He was a 40 year old white guy.

Re lost before he started: Exactly what I said to wife when i first saw the vid.
Back "in the day" when I could run El Presidente in low 5s, 100% hit, maybe drop to 90% A zone, I doubt seriously breaking even w a trigger pull was possible.
Clint Smith had such a drill for us but that was if we were in arms reach of opponent.

I agree with your first statement but don’t believe the second one is backed up by any supporting data.

This guy was a Caucasian Christian American, like many of these shooters. Can we just admit crazy is crazy and stop trying to find blame elsewhere. It’s mental illness.
