I got a line on a savage 116 300 rum. Want to know if there is enough room for a 300 PRC with a 3.7 coal. Thanks Darwin

older stagerfeed don't believe they ever did one in centerfeedStaggerfeed or centerfeed? I have had countless Savages and parts and never seen a centerfeed blind mag that long.
That may be. I was told Savage custom shop made some RUMs on centerfeeds. So I would say asking on this forum is really a waste. I would ask the owner to measure the box in question. I guess I will just get to the point I should have made earlier. The 212, 208, 215, 225, and 230 bullets will be over 3.7" in a SAAMI 300 PRC chamber and will be limited by any Savage box you will find except a AICS DBM(maybe). I would look elsewhere for a donor.older stagerfeed don't believe they ever did one in centerfeed
You can also slot the front of a centerfeed box and notch the feed ramp. I've done it both ways and this is easier and requires less tweaking, it seems you don't have to grind the front baffle either. I've done a few 338-300RUM that would feed ~3.8" cartridges.the only way to get longer is splicing two boxes and mill action or the accurate mag bottom metal and the 3.850 mags they use for the lapua
