M16 Extractor and the Grendel

Anyone in this astute forum install a m16 extractor in a R700 that uses the PPC/ Grendel face? Looking for specs on the depth and pin location.

I've always just measured the extractor (PTG mini) and extrapolated the necessary #'s. Measure the depth of the extractor groove relative to the bottom flat of the extractor on the edge and that will give you your depth dimension (making the extractor groove mate up with the diameter of the bolt face). When milling the depth, as soon as the pocket cleans up to the corner of the bolt nose/face intersection, you would want to go that additional amount in depth. Then the pocket for the hinge and tail/spring. The pin hole will be based on the extractor notch being a few thou below the bolt face and of proper depth to allow the extractor to sit parallel when installed. PTG used to have dimensions listed on their website, but maybe they don't for the ppc.

I did a mini m-16 for a grendel/ppc on a 700 sa I think I use a defiance extractor but i would need to double check for sure. No print was provided I had to figure out where I wanted it to be and machine it accordingly. It works fine.

Did you just cut the difference between ppc and 308?

No I measured the case head and extractor groove and calculated where extractor needed to be and laid it out. I proved it out on a pc of scrap stock before I cut on the bolt. IIRC I went to the badger site to get the correct angles to set the bolt at
