6xc twist for 105 and 115

When I moved to the 6mm 115 gn bullet from the 105 gn, my powder charge needed to be dropped about 2.0 grains to manage the bolt lift.

That is what Tubb keeps telling everyone. If an 8 twist shot better he would be shooting it.

But no mention of what bullets he prefers in 7’s. I’m guessing he ignores the Berger 105’s in favor of his ‘branded’ 115’s. Can you add anything to affirm that perhaps?

7’s fine for the longer, heavier projectiles and is known to work well also with 105’s... while recognizing that pushing them too fast may lead to instability is my understanding.

He shoots the 115 DTAC. It's his design, produced by Sierra.

Never ever heard about instability from a 7 twist at 6xc velocities.
