Cleaning an M14?

Sling & Irons!
I'm looking for advice on how to clean a certain area of the chamber on a Nat'l Match M14.

I have used a cleaning rod & bore guide from the muzzle end, and after a combination of Shooter's Choice, IOSSO paste, and a touch of Remington 40X Bore Cleaner, I've gotten all but a small section of the chamber area clean. I've used the ratcheting chamber brush from the buttstock kit, but to no avail. I think it's just forward of the area where the chamber brush ends. Coming from the muzzle end, I *think* it's where the chamber begins to widen out, and so the brush on the cleaning rod isn't hitting it either - sort of in the 'no mans land' area. Right now, I have run some Kroil over the area, hoping to possibly loosen it. Any ideas out there?

You could try a .30-06 ratcheting chamber brush meant for a Garand. Should be a little longer.

Or just shoot it. I’ve fired tens of thousands of rounds cleaning only the bore and using a .308 chamber brush.

Use the above swabs with lighter fluid, this will clean the chamber and throat.
