I had a hog problem for a while, they did many thousands of dollars of damage to my recently completed landscaping. I finally, at least for now, ended the problem with traps from Tractor Supply, lots of corn and constantly carrying a pistol. I shot them both in the traps and those not in the traps. I actually lost count of the number I got.Careful what you wish for
Good job!I had a hog problem for a while, they did many thousands of dollars of damage to my recently completed landscaping. I would want to be in a tree stand to hunt them with a bow. A 9mm Browning with HPs required multiple shots to slow them down. It didn't matter if it was a head or heart shot. A 40 S&W with HPs was much more effective, but did not stop them in their tracks with one shot. Both the 9mm and 40 S&W left an exit wound tremendously large.Good job!
I've always wanted hunt wild pigs with a bow.
I know they are tough creatures I think that's what makes me want to try.I would want to be in a tree stand to hunt them with a bow. A 9mm Browning with HPs required multiple shots to slow them down. It didn't matter if it was a head or heart shot. A 40 S&W with HPs was much more effective, but did not stop them in their tracks with one shot. Once they are pissed, they are on a mission to get you, 2nd and sometimes 3rd shots were necessary. I found a shoulder shot the best at stopping (crippling) them, then a shot or two to the head.
What! No ribs!?
Yeah, the problem is he bought the bag that was labeled "deer corn." Josh needs to get the bag that says "whole corn." I may have been born at night but not last night!!If you wanted deer then the hogs would show. Throw out corn for the deer instead!![]()
