Is shooting season here yet?

Buffalo NY we have a club that shoots 22 lr 100 yd bench rest every Friday morning at 9 am. Also once a month a center fire match 100 yd bench rest. Chilly but lots of fun. Another club has a sporter rifle league for indoor 22 lr 50 feet shooting off hand.

We've got at least three ridiculous threads created while under the influence of Shooting Withdrawal Syndrome to go. Winter isn't for the weak.

So sorry I "offended" you with my ridiculous thread. I guess I was just trying to point out I like to shoot and compete.

You misread me completely. I'm just saying that we tend to get a little loopy over the winter and there tend to be a few entertaining side show type threads during the colder months. It's a joke - not meant to give or take offense! Sometimes things don't come through on the internet.

I understand that completely! I'm a country boy (old) and some of the things I post then re-read are like ? what the heck was I trying to say!!

the only time shooting season ends for me is when the commie bastard that signs my paycheck makes me work.

There are boys in the north country take the winter shooting season seriously. They shoot 22 LR's out of a heated shed (20' X appx 22' - 5 shooting benches and heated by propane heaters, on the coldest days it's heated to 40 degrees, when its 15 - 20 degrees out, it doesn't feel too bad. Paper score targets- it draws a lot of shooters when that's the only game in the Winter. Oh, there is a Clubhouse adjacent to warm the bodies when not shooting. The score targets are shot at 100 yards off benches - Great Fun in the Winter Time.

I just preped 200 rounds for a gun I don't even have yet!
Prepping new brass is in my opinion the single most important thing a shooter can do. I gives the shooter absolute control over one component in their arsenal. Unless one is manufacturing Bullets, powder and primers in his basement.
