Douglas Barrels

You will probably have it in about a week get done before thanksgiving an tell your wife you need another project for Christmas LOL keep me posted on your build.
Thanks for the order.
You are very welcome. I'll let you know how she shoots. I would like to have it shooting before November 15th as it Michigan Deer season. This will probably be my last new barrel as my other hunting rifles are already custom barreled. Barlow

I have recently had Douglas build two barrels. The first one is a 20 caliber 1-10 twist and the other is a .277 caliber 1-9 twist. The 20 caliber is now a 204 Ruger built by Crimson Accuracy and she is a shooter for sure. The .277 barrel will be built into a 270 Winchester, yeah I know an "old has been" cartridge but I still like a nice 270. I settled on the 9 twist for some of the longer hunting bullets available now.

If you start anymore projects let me know.

The first super accurate rifle that I owned was a 1937 Model 70 with a Douglas barrel. It was chambered in .220 swift and was marked Timken steel. It had a heavy laminated stock and a very heavy barrel. It would shoot under an inch at 300 yards. I got it from an estate sale and wish that I would have kept it. It came with two scopes a Zeiss Zelvier and a B&L 6x-24x external adjustment model. I replaced that with a 12x Leupold. The famous riflesmith , Mr. Womack of Shreveport built this rifle.
