Teslong bore scope

Could you clarify this paragraph a bit? I'm a bit confused by the "Teslong vs amcap" statement. Is it that you tried the Teslong borescope using two different camera apps and one of the apps seemed to rectify the long lag time? Thanks!
Yes . There was no lag time like when using the Teslong program . Absolutely none perceived, the image moved as I moved the camera . Taking a picture required 2 steps but that was better than waiting for the camera pic to move / load whatever is the correct term . I happened to open the wrong one and it worked , then I opened the correct Teslong program and realized the lag was gone . I've bought a few cameras and many home security system apps and a few microscope apps so I'm not sure which one Amcap belongs to or how old it is . If someone could walk me thru the process to copy or correctly identify it I could pass it on , unless Amcap is enough ?
I just checked Amcap and they have many downloads , all I can add is that mine would be at least 2-4 yrs old so the older may be better . I'll turn on the computer tomorrow and see if there's a version attached .

I just plugged teslong into laptop with windows 10 and used the camera function. There is no lag on pictures or videos. Messed with different lengths on the mirror by just unscrewing out farther. Very clear results.

The download I clicked on, was a Zip file with both AMCap and Endoscope Camera for viewer software.
On a Windows 10 LapTop .... I can use either of them
On a Windows 7 LapTop .... I can only use the AMCap (which is fine, like it better).
Below is the "Read Me" file/image that came in the Zip file download:

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure you were referencing the use of a different program with the same borescope. I used "Photobooth" on a Mac laptop and the delay was definitely there. I did not check to see whether there were other programs installed capable of running the camera. As you noted, minimizing the delay may well be as simple as using a different program.

Edited to add: I re-read your response and I'm no longer sure we are describing the same delay. With Photobooth, reception and movement of the image was "live"; very responsive and essentially almost instantaneous. However, when clicking on image capture, I had a noticeably long delay before an image was actually captured. This makes it more difficult to capture a clear image as you cannot move the camera at all until the imae has been captured or it will be blurry. Nonetheless, a different piece of software may speed up the delay, or it may not. I'll just have to try and see what happens.

The capture required me to pull down a menu and scroll down to capture and click on it , it was instant but I was referring to the delay I had when using the Teslong program . It would take a while for the image to stabilize ( un blur ) before I could figure out what I was looking at , and that is what dramatically improved.

Yes. I didn't have any issue with respect to delay of visualization of the image. In my setup, the delay was that you'd click on the image capture button, then several seconds later it would actually capture the image. During that delay, you can't be moving the camera at all or a blurry image is the result. Sounds like two different things are going on with the different software/platforms.

I have a question about the phone app. I have a Samsung 10e and downloaded all the teslong apps. All work, but the image freezes and the screen greys out after about a minute or less of use. I have to keep exiting and restarting the app. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better app?

Thanks...

Maybe it's when your "back light" times out. Could try moving the "screen timeout" in your phone Settings.
But just a guess, have not used it with a phone, have only used LapTops so far.
Note: have one of my LapTops cabled to a 24" flat panel, and love the large view !.!.!

Go to the Teslong.com homepage, scroll to the bottom and click PRODUCTS.
Then scroll to the very bottom of that page and you will find the replacement mirror heads right below a picture of the rifle borescope.

Thanks Donovan, I'll give it a try, but I think it is something else. The image is there...just frozen even when I move the cable.
Love the IMAX display idea :)

there are 4 tvs in this house being unused.. now i have an idea.. thanks

Very impressive images from these things. Ordered one just now. The old school Hawkeye I have, no camera, has the same issues with focal length in a larger bore, especially with my fat head and a tall cheek piece. looking forward to being able to record and share exactly what I'm looking at without cringing that a customer is going to shatter a glass tube by bending it.

Just got mine today (ordered 10/1/2019). Unwrapped, downloaded app and found out one of my .45s (unsurprisingly) has leading in the land/grove corners. Worked great first try on my Samsung S9. Will wait until tomorrow to start on rifles.

Danoh, I guess we were born under a bad sign, if I hadn't paid $10 for shipping, I wouldn't be so disappointed. Now wish I had waited on Amazon...oh well, live and learn...rsbhunter
