This picture is of a Nigerian Scope Scammer Class. I understand they get college credit for it.
If the scammers lived in a socialist world they wouldn't have to try to scam us because they would have all they need for free. Right?

I'm sorry but if you get nothing for your money, you probably had it coming. The classified ads just happened to be the venue.

Thanks for the gentle kick to the nuts. I guess I had it coming for being so stupid. I just know we all are new here at some point. Just a couple of things I didn't screw up, and it might help someone else. I sent the certified bank check via UPS ground, so I would have time to react if it went south. My bank waved all the fees today because I've been with them for 25+ years. it just cost me $17 for UPS. the only two valid reasons to stop payment, are if it is lost or stolen. I confess I lied, but when I got the check, I made certain I could stop payment for ANY reason. they said I could, so they lied to me first.

You don’t need to justify yourself. Thanks for starting this thread and giving everyone a heads up about these scummy scammers. You’re absolutely right we all start somewhere. I was at zero post count and no trader history and someone took a risk with me.

If we keep this us against them mentality in the shooting world the anti gunners are going to win.

I think I’ll only buy from LarryDScott from now on. I got a perfect used scope for a great price. It arrived before my check got to him. Come to think of it, the deal was TOOOO easy. I better go look at it again!

Yes, both of them were making posts that didn’t make any sense. I would skip over and not even read some of their posts. I don’t buy or sell here, I rarely even glance at the classified area.

Ok, I’ll go ahead and say it. This example is not much worse than much of the syntax found here on a daily basis. I’m a grammar Nazi. I’m a jerk. Whatever. But don’t think for one second that proper English doesn’t make a difference. Obviously it does...tremendously.

I have two of them on my F-TR rifles, sorry not selling. I bought the first new online from a website that I was not familiar with, for a very good price. Was worried about it but used my visa card and knew I could go to them if it went South. Turned out to be a great deal on a factory sealed and fresh scope. The second I bought off my match director for cash, only used once in a face to face deal for a good price including rings. Good luck finding one for a good price, I like the TMOA reticle for corrections.
